Engagement sessions are always a special thing to photograph.  Capturing the love that a couple shares – the looks that the exchange and the tenderness in which they interact with one another.  It is such a special time in their lives and I love having the opportunity to spend time with them.

It was an honor to be asked to do Danelle & Drew’s engagement pictures, as they are friends of mine.  I love watching them interact and seeing their joy and love for one another…not to mention their excitement for the big day which is coming up in the fall!

Red is one of their wedding colors and I was thrilled to come across a pile of red barrels in my location scouting.  The weather was absolutely freezing when we got together for this shoot - however we had fun and made the most of it and they tried to “look” warm…even when sometimes that wasn’t the case!

Thanks you two for being absolutely amazing – during the shoot and otherwise!  We are so blessed to have you in our lives and are so excited for all that is to come for you!

and of course….we can’t forget about the ring! 

I met the Playford family back in the fall when I did their family pictures and loved working with them.  They are one of the nicest families that I have met…not to mention have super cute kids – so I was excited for the arrival of their newest addition!  We have been planning and talking about this baby session for the past several months and I was excited to try out some new ideas that I had.  There were also a couple of cute hats that I bought and was anxious to “play” with…oh they are so cute!

With months of anticipation, planning, waiting and shopping – you would almost think that I was the one having the baby!  Goodness!

Logan was amazing during the session…not to mention the rest of the family!   With the family being Leaf fans – you know we had to do something special to bring it into this session too!

They say that babies are a gift from God – and looking at this precious little one you don’t have to wonder why.

Getting together with this great couple was a wonderful way to spend Family Day! 

I loved watching them interact with each other and witnessing the love that they share.  It is so special – and their excitement about this baby is evident. They seem to be all set and are even managing a trip to Vancouver before this baby is born!

Laura is absolutely beautiful and seriously has the most perfect baby belly : )

I can’t wait to photograph this little one in a few weeks!

When you run into traffic like this….you know that things have changed – and that there is a pretty good chance that you are now in Fort McMurray, Alberta! 

Well, it is true! Uncontained Photography is excited to be new to the Fort McMurray scene and call it home.  The business originated in Edmonton, Alberta several years ago and recently relocated to Fort McMurray mid 2009. It has been wonderful getting to know people here and finding new photography locations!

Several people have asked if I still do sessions in Edmonton.  The answer is most definitely YES!….it is just a bit more schedule dependant now. If you are an existing client, I especially would love to continue to work with you…and if you are a new client – I look forward to meeting you!   There are several trips to Edmonton that are scheduled within the year, allowing sessions to take place in various seasons.  Please contact me if you are interested in an Edmonton session as they book up quite quickly.  If you have a specific need for photography – please do not hesitate to contact me as there is always possibility of another trip.

Besides Fort McMurray and Edmonton, I also do weddings and sessions in Calgary, Kelowna, Canmore, Banff, Jasper, Vancouver, Victoria…and the list goes on and on! 

Why be limited in your location when you can be uncontained?  : )

I would like to introduce you to the latest little beauty….Coraline. What a beautiful name she has! 

I had the joy of meeting baby Coraline and her parents last week as we discussed and designed this shoot and then got together again to make it happen.  She did such an amazing job being a little model and was often awake and very expressive.  Editing this shoot made me smile as her expressions often changed. I loved seeing the tenderness and uncontained love that was in her parents eyes as they gazed upon her and to see her so in awe of the world around her.

To look upon new parents (and grandparents) whom are so enamored with this little beauty and all of her delicate little details is simply a reminder of how precious children are and how they are to be treasured and cherished.
