It was so fun meeting Kelsey & Chris in Calgary for their engagement session! 

With all of the emailing that Kelsey and I have done over the past several months, it felt like we knew each other – even though this was the first time we actually met!  I’m thankful that they were willing to meet this photographer in an odd part of town to do their pictures : )

These two are so cute together and their love for each other is evident!

I’m excited to get to know them more and can’t wait for their wedding in the new year!

You know that “look” that two people have when they are in love?  It is often abundantly evident on a wedding day – and hopefully in the years following.  The words that the couple speaks without uttering a single word.  The looks that are exchanged or simply the way they look at each other……the tenderness of a touch and just how they interact with each other.

That was my favorite part of spending time with Allysa & Dorman!  Their love and respect for each other is so evident and they seem like they are each others best friends – which I believe they are.  To top that off, you add a baby into the mix and the excitement that accompanies that and it was beautiful. Truly.

I know without a shadow of a doubt that this baby is going to be loved like crazy!

Look at the above picture of this couple….and now imagine them in a suit and wedding dress!  Oh their wedding day is going to be beautiful!   Jacqueline has this classic/elegant type of beauty about her that is just captivating.

These two are getting married in just a few weeks here in Fort McMurray. It is hard to believe that their wedding day is just about here as we met several months ago.  I can’t wait!

Jacqueline & Brian have two super cute boys who were a part of their engagement session..turning it into an engagement/family session I suppose!  It was a hot afternoon when we got together – however they all did really great!

I love shooting engagement sessions and capturing two people that are in love and almost overflowing with excitement for their approaching wedding day. The way that they look at each other is special and is unique to just that time in their lives.

This Edmonton session was extra special to me as I have grown up with Dimitri for years. How wonderful it was to meet the woman that he has fallen in love with and that he is about to wed.  Jamie is absolutely beautiful and has these gorgeous blue eyes that were just stunning!  I can’t wait to see these two on their wedding day!

After meeting 3.5 years ago in Fort McMurray, this great couple is going to be getting married in less than a month in Halifax!  What an exciting (yet busy) time for them both!

How wonderful it was to be asked to photograph their engagement session before they head east for their big day!  These two are so cute together and our time was filled with smiles and laughs…..not to mention hot shoes and graffiti!  My favorite!

How wonderful it is to watch two people fall in love! 

It is even more special when you know one of them and can watch as just the right person enters their life at just the right time and their life love begins to grow. 

This has been the case with Ruth & Derek and I have loved watching them fall in love and grow in excitement for things to come and their future together.  These two just seem to be absolutely perfect for one another.  It was an honor to meet Derek for the first time as we got together for their engagement session in Edmonton. 

How fun it was to watch these two together!  The love that they have for one another is so obvious and evident in all that they do.  May that love continue to grow and flourish in the days, months and years ahead! 

Derek, you have one amazing women (as you are well aware) and she is a blessing and joy to so many.  Thank you for adding an extra sparkle to her beautiful blue eyes  : )

This week my brother and sister-in-law are celebrating their 4 year wedding anniversary!

When we were in Hawaii a few weeks ago and I had the chance to do a mini shoot with them.  Here are a few of my favorites.

I’m so thankful that my brother has found someone that loves him so much, just as he loves her.  They are best friends and love sharing life together.

May this just be the beginning of many amazing years to come.

There is something special about getting together and photographing two people that are in love.  My morning with Vanessa & Sean was definitely the highlight of my day and  I feel like we laughed the whole time : )  

These two are wonderful to be around and their love and appreciation for each other is so obvious.   A testimony of this commitment to one another was that Sean has Vanessa’s name tattoo’d on the inside of his wrist…so we definitely needed to capture that! 

After spending more time with these two – it is a given that their wedding is going to be simply beautiful….not to mention a lot of fun!

Engagement sessions are always a special thing to photograph.  Capturing the love that a couple shares – the looks that the exchange and the tenderness in which they interact with one another.  It is such a special time in their lives and I love having the opportunity to spend time with them.

It was an honor to be asked to do Danelle & Drew’s engagement pictures, as they are friends of mine.  I love watching them interact and seeing their joy and love for one another…not to mention their excitement for the big day which is coming up in the fall!

Red is one of their wedding colors and I was thrilled to come across a pile of red barrels in my location scouting.  The weather was absolutely freezing when we got together for this shoot - however we had fun and made the most of it and they tried to “look” warm…even when sometimes that wasn’t the case!

Thanks you two for being absolutely amazing – during the shoot and otherwise!  We are so blessed to have you in our lives and are so excited for all that is to come for you!

and of course….we can’t forget about the ring! 

Oh these two!  I am SOOO excited that they are getting married this Saturday!  I can hardly wait and I have a feeling that their wedding party is going to be a blast and that we are going to have so much fun together! 

We did their engagement session last fall – after about 3 attempts due to brutal weather.  The joys of shooting in the fall!  However, these two can bring attitude when needed – and it is fantastic!  The joy and love that they have for life and for each other is so obvious and evident – and I love it!

I am going to wait until after their wedding day to write more….but wanted to share these images with you.
