This beauty is one of my cousins.  I seriously have been blessed with a gorgeous family!

Photoshoots are one of the things that I love doing with my cousins – and have done with them for many years now.  We have found that it is a fun way to connect and spend time together…among other things of course!  We get to create fun pictures that have captured them growing up and their personalities and are usually trying to figure out a way to outdo our last photoshoot!

With Melissa’s shoot we started with her grad dress from a few years ago and then moved on to something a bit more fashion and funky feeling!  She definitely turned a lot of heads as we were shooting : )

This girl has one of the best laughs, a beautiful smile and a gorgeous heart.  She is ready to help and love on those around her.  I am so proud of her and the woman that she has become.

It was a delight to be honored with being Mary’s birthday present this year!  Her parents had purchased a session with me for her – to celebrate her birthday – and so I got the joy of hanging out with her for an afternoon and having fun!

Mary is an incredible girl who seems to be growing up before my eyes!  She is a bundle of energy – filled with smiles – and desires to be an actress.  I think that she will be perfect! She just came back from living and schooling in Scotland. What a fantastic experience!  The shoes that she wore to the shoot (loved them!) reminded me of Scotland and I thought that they were just so perfect for where she is at right now.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

There is something almost magical about the combination of a young child and that of denim.  I’m not sure what it is exactly…but the little bare feet….bare arms…and rolls from time to time never grow old!  It is a classic look and one that did wonders to Heath with his gorgeous baby blue eyes!

I initially met Heath several months ago as I did pictures of his family and extended family.  He is definitely in the center of attention as he is surrounded by a large group of girl cousins who never grow tired of holding him or making him smile.  His mom and I began planning this session a few months back as we anticipated him walking and his 1 year birthday.  What a wonderful thing to capture little ones as they grow and change so fast!

This is hopefully going to be a yearly event – taking pictures of him with his current favorite toys and at the various stages that he will go through.  What a fantastic plan his parents have in creating memories of each year and reflecting who he is and where he is currently at.

It is always such a joy to see you and I can’t wait until next time!
